What is a UV Bulb System?

The Dual UV Bulb System is designed to inhibit the growth of bacteria, mold, and other microbes within your HVAC system. Installed directly in your air handler, it provides continuous UV-C light exposure to critical areas like the evaporator coil and drain pan, where microbial growth is most likely to occur.

-
Reduces Microbial Growth: Prevents mold, mildew, and bacteria in your HVAC system.
-
Improves System Efficiency: Keeps components cleaner, allowing your system to work more effectively.
-
Maintains Airflow: Reduces buildup that can restrict airflow and impact performance.

How does it work?

The Dual UV Bulb System uses two high-output UV-C bulbs to emit ultraviolet light that disrupts the DNA of microorganisms, preventing their growth and spread. Positioned strategically within the air handler, these bulbs continuously disinfect the evaporator coil and surrounding areas, ensuring a cleaner, more efficient system.

Key Benefits

-
Improved Air Quality: Reduces the presence of airborne microbes that can circulate through your home.
-
Energy Efficiency: A cleaner HVAC system operates more efficiently, saving on energy costs.
-
Prolonged System Life: Preventing buildup helps reduce wear and tear on components.
-
Low Maintenance: UV bulbs require replacement only every two years.

Whats The Difference?

Like the name implies, the single bulb system comes with just one UV bulb, while the Dual-bulb system comes with two.

The Dual-Bulb system allows for the UV light to hit both sides of the evaporator coil, making it the most effective by far.

However the single bulb setup will still take care of growth on your blower motor, in your pan, and on the one side of the coil. Greatly reducing pathogens in the air.
